Right to Clean Air

May 2026

Your monthly commitment to our mission Right to Clean Air continues to make a quiet but profound difference, and the latest reports from our partner Give Me Trees Trust show just how much.

This year, 1,057 native saplings have been planted at Jaunapur City Forest in New Delhi, supporting the ongoing restoration of the Aravalli Forest. With every sapling that takes root, the forest inches closer to becoming what it once was — alive, breathing, and biodiverse.

Here is what your support made possible in 2025-26:

  • 1,057 native saplings planted at Jaunapur City Forest, Delhi

  • 39 species of birds and animals recorded

  •  4 local villagers employed as field workers, earning a livelihood while caring for the forest

  •  63 volunteers engaged, including 18 college students and 45 school students

  • Environmental awareness sessions on biodiversity, forest ecosystems, and tree conservation

A story from the forest

Maya, 46, lives in Jaunapur village. Before joining the plantation project, she worked at a paper factory far from home — long commutes, exhausting work, and eventually no work at all. For months, she was unemployed and worried about her family.

Today, Maya works at the very forest your donations helped create. She waters, mulches, and tends to the saplings every day — close to home, contributing to something that will outlast all of us. The income is modest, but the stability and sense of purpose it has given her are anything but.

Thank you for helping build a cleaner, greener future — one sapling at a time.

February 2026

Thank you for your monthly commitment to our mission Right to Clean Air. Your support continues to make a real impact, as evidenced by recent reports from our NGO partner Give Me Trees Trust.

The Jaunapur City Forest in New Delhi was once degraded land—silent, dusty, and lifeless. Today, thanks to donors like you, it's transforming into a thriving ecosystem.

Here are ‘before’ and ‘after’ images of Jaunapur forest

Hundreds of native species like Peepal, Banyan, Neem, Jamun, Amaltas, and Kachnar have been planted across the forest. These aren't just trees—they are habitats. Birds, butterflies, and bees that had vanished are now returning, signalling that nature is healing.

Over time, they create microclimates that support diverse flora and fauna, reducing pollution and dust levels whilst building ecological resilience.

Community members, once passive observers, are now passionate participants in restoration efforts. Local volunteers monitor and care for saplings, ensuring this green legacy thrives for future generations.

Thank you for your monthly support in helping build a cleaner, greener future.

May 2025

Your monthly commitment to support our mission Right to Clean Air has started making an impact, evident from recent reports from our NGO partner Give Me Trees Trust.

800 saplings of native species like Chamrod, Palash, and Kadamb have been planted at the Jaunapur City Forest in New Delhi. With invasive species being gradually removed, a natural comeback of birds, butterflies, and bees has been observed. These are the signs of a healing ecosystem.

Highlights for the year 2024-25 include:

  • Regular maintenance, including watering, mulching, and application of organic fertilizers, to ensure sapling survival.

  • Community members and volunteers actively protecting and monitoring saplings.

  • Awareness sessions and nature walks to educate people about ecological restoration.

  • Removal of invasive species like Vilayati Keekar and Lantana Camara to support native biodiversity.

Change on the ground

Through guided walks, local residents discovered the difference between ‘green’ and ‘ecologically healthy.’ Many thought any greenery was good, until they learned how invasive trees like Vilayati Keekar were damaging the land. With increased awareness, community members have become passionate participants in restoring native species, and in doing so, bringing back the birds and bees.

Thank you for helping build a cleaner, greener future.

Here’s a direct message from Swami Prem Parivartan, popularly known as Peepal Baba of Give Me Trees Trust, an NGO that is part of our mission Right to Clean Air.

Dear <donorname>,

I, on behalf of Give Me Trees Trust, would like to extend my deepest gratitude for your generous contribution to our monthly mission.

Your support has been pivotal in our ecological restoration efforts through afforestation at Jaunapur City Forest (Delhi), where we are working tirelessly to enhance the environment and create a greener, healthier and sustainable future for our community.

We truly value your commitment towards this great cause, and it is an honour to work alongside you in this important mission. 500 saplings have already been planted in the Jaunapur City Forest, but this is just a drop in the ocean. Our goal is to plant 10 lakh trees across the country in the coming months and years. With your continued support, we are confident that this project will thrive and leave a lasting, positive impact.

Thank you once again for your trust and support. We look forward to deepening our collaboration in the future.

Warm regards,
Peepal Baba

Pollution bothers us all and you took a stand to fight against it when you subscribed to our mission Right To Clean Air. Here is a glimpse of what your support of our mission can achieve.

Give Me Trees Trust, one of our NGO partners, has been transforming villages near Pune. One such is Wadegaon - and here is what Deepak Gawade the former sarpanch of the gram panchayat had to say:

“Their support in providing saplings and guidance on maintenance has made our surroundings greener and more vibrant. Our village now boasts cleaner air and a healthier environment. With their help, we've not only planted trees but also cultivated a sense of environmental responsibility among our villagers.”

This is just one of 200+ villages that just one NGO has impacted, among a network of NGOs partnering with us for our mission.

Imagine the collective impact of them all - thanks to committed supporters like you.
