Your support to our mission, End Period Poverty has helped 377 girls get access to menstrual products, helping young girls experience better health and continue going to school.

Lives Impacted
Your support to Mission: End Period Poverty has transformed the lives of 377 young girls, giving them access to period products and the knowledge to use them safely.
Other achievements of Mission: End Period Poverty this past year include:
377 girls received reusable cloth sanitary pad kits
7 awareness workshops conducted on menstrual health & hygiene education
Girls had the opportunity to speak directly with Dr. Anmol Dewan, a Senior Resident in Obstetrics & Gynaecology who volunteers with Pinkishe Foundation—many for the first time ever meeting a doctor who spoke openly about menstruation
Story from the Ground
One of these girls is Pooja* from Lakshmi Nagar, East Delhi district (Delhi . Like many girls around her, she believed that using a single sanitary pad throughout the day was enough. Changing pads frequently felt unnecessary, even wasteful. She had no idea of the hygiene risks this could cause.
When the discussion turned to how often pads should be changed, Pooja quietly shared: "Ab samajh aa raha hai ki pad kitni bar change karna chahiye, pehle toh ek se hi pura din nikal jata tha." ("Now I understand how often a pad should be changed — earlier, I used to get through the whole day with just one.")

For Pooja, the change was simple but important. And it started with one session.
Because of your support, girls across India are getting access to the products, knowledge, and conversations they deserve to be safe and healthy!

Thanks to your support for our mission End Period Poverty, women in India's underserved communities are finding their voices and freedom through menstrual health awareness.
In Shakarpur, Delhi, scores of women and adolescent girls gathered in a community hall. Some brought younger children who sat quietly beside them. The room was packed, but the atmosphere was calm and attentive as our NGO partner Pinkishe Foundation's facilitators spoke about periods, hygiene practices, and common myths.
One participant shared, "Ye hum har mahine face karte hain, lekin kyun hota hai nahi pata tha." (We face this every month, but we never knew why it happens.)

For many of these women and girls, proper period hygiene is unaffordable. Without access to sanitary pads or knowledge of safe practices, they resort to unsafe alternatives—cloth, rags, even ash—that put their health at risk.
By the end of the session, participants stayed back to examine the materials and collect hygiene kits—reusable pads distributed thanks to your support. These kits are more than products; they are tools for health, confidence, and freedom from shame.
Your support creates safe spaces where women unlearn silence, ask questions, and embrace a healthier future—one conversation, one pad, one village at a time.

Your monthly commitment to support our mission End Period Poverty is creating real change for young girls in rural Uttar Pradesh. Through our NGO partner Pinkishe Foundation, 208 girls have received reusable cloth sanitary pad kits and crucial menstrual health education in the first half of 2025-26.

Your impact this half-year:
208 girls received reusable cloth sanitary pad kits – providing a safe, hygienic, and sustainable menstrual solution.
3 awareness workshops conducted on menstrual health and hygiene education in Hatewa Village, Kamrala Village, and Kisan Majdoor Adarsh Inter College in Greater Noida.
Girls learned about proper hygiene practices, infection prevention, and how to care for their bodies during menstruation.
For many of these girls, this was the first time they truly understood their bodies and realized that menstruation didn't have to be something to fear or hide.
Story from the ground:
During a menstrual health workshop in Greater Noida, Ritu (name changed), a Class 9 student, quietly shared that she often felt itching during her periods but was afraid to tell her mother. The educator explained that infections were common when hygiene was ignored and could be prevented with proper care. "I thought something was wrong with me," Ritu said softly after the session. "Now I know it's normal and I just have to stay clean." Ritu received reusable cloth pads and learned how to wash and care for them properly. She now attends school confidently during her periods without worrying about infections or discomfort.

Thank you for helping end period poverty, one girl at a time.

Thanks to your support to our mission, End Period Poverty, women in rural India are finding their voices and freedom, through menstrual health awareness.

In Hatewa Village, in western Uttar Pradesh, women gathered, some learning about periods for the first time. When the facilitator of our NGO Pinkishe Foundation said, "This is something the whole family should understand," a woman whispered, "But do the men at home even listen?" revealing the deep-seated silence around menstruation. By the end, the room buzzed with laughter and shared stories, a taboo unravelling in real time.

In another village called Kamrala, around 90 women and girls sat under a neem tree, discussing reusable pads, distributed by our NGO (thanks to your support) and drying them discreetly in monsoons. An elderly participant marvelled, "No one taught us these things. These girls are becoming smarter now."
Your support creates safe spaces where women unlearn shame, ask questions, and embrace a healthier future.

Your support to Mission: End Period Poverty has helped 353 girls get access to menstrual products such as sanitary pads, helping young girls experience better health and be able to go to school.

One of these hundreds of girls are girls like Pooja* who had no choice but to use old pieces of cloth because she did not have access to period products. She also did not understand what periods are but our Mission: End Period Poverty NGO partner Pinkishe Foundation held awareness sessions in her school and once she understood that periods are a normal process of the human body, she felt more confident about herself and wanted to teach her younger sister too!

Here’s a direct message from Khyati Gupta, Founder of Pinkishe Foundation, expressing her sincere gratitude for your support of our mission End Period Poverty.
Dear Donor,
A heartfelt thank you for your unwavering support. Donors like you help Pinkishe Foundation take consistent strides towards ensuring access to menstrual health resources and education for young girls across India.
In one of our recent projects in rural Chhattisgarh, young girls got access to sanitary kits for the first time and were able to openly learn about menstrual health. One girl, Rekha, shared how this gave her the confidence to attend school during her period, a luxury she hadn’t had before. These small, yet powerful, changes would not be possible without you.
Your monthly contribution means we can plan ahead and extend our reach to the most underserved areas. Thank you for standing with us in this journey of hope and change.
Warm regards,

Your monthly commitment to support our mission End Period Poverty has started making an impact, evident from recent fund utilisation reports from our NGO partners.

So far, 117 girls have received reusable cloth sanitary pad kits and two workshops on menstrual health & hygiene have been conducted by our NGO partner Pinkishe Foundation at government schools in Nainitial, Uttarakhand.
Two sisters, who are beneficiaries, had been using synthetic cloth which gave one of them such a bad infection that she needed medical intervention and dropped out of school out of embarrassment.

At the workshops, many girls said this was the first time someone had openly discussed menstruation with them. In their homes, the subject is surrounded by shame and rarely spoken about.
Thank you for your contribution towards ensuring menstrual health for underprivileged girls and breaking the stigma around it.

Your monthly donation to our mission End Period Poverty is contributing to a groundswell of change - and here's how.

Trupti, an Anganwadi worker, stumbled upon a shocking reality in the tribal villages of Betul in Madhya Pradesh – women and girls were using ash and rags to manage their menstrual cycle. Determined to change this, she partnered with Pinkishe Foundation to introduce reusable cloth pads.
Through workshops and education, Trupti empowered women and girls to embrace hygienic practices. The impact has been profound. Geru, a young girl from the community, is a shining example of this transformation. She has not only adopted cloth pads but is also actively spreading awareness among her peers.
Pinkishe's collaboration with local champions like Trupti is creating a ripple effect. Together, they are breaking down taboos and ensuring menstrual hygiene for countless women and girls. And your support is helping Pinkishe reach more communities and replicate this success story across India.
Thank you for being part of this mission to create a period-positive nation.
