Thanks to your regular support of our mission to uplift women and children in vulnerable situations, survivors across India are rebuilding lives of dignity and hope. Here is one such story of resilience.
Priya (name changed) came to Mumbai with her daughter Aanya (name changed), trusting a man she believed cared for them. Instead, he sold her to brothel runners in Kamathipura for monetary gain. Threatened that Aanya would be taken away if she refused, Priya was left with no choice but to comply — terrified, alone, and trapped.
Today, Aanya attends school and the Study Centre regularly. She keeps herself neat, follows her teachers' guidance, and plays joyfully with other children. Priya is actively seeking dignified employment, determined to give her daughter the life she deserves.
Your donations are helping organisations like SAI to reach women and children in their darkest moments, and walk alongside them toward light.
Thank you for making their world a little safer.

Our colleague Edin visited Social Activities Integration (SAI), one of the NGOs you support through the mission 'Help save young girls from trafficking'. What he witnessed was truly moving. And it is made possible by your regular support!
Here are highlights from Edin’s visit in his own words:

"One thing that struck me more than anything else about Mr Vinay, was the relentless compassion that has driven this work from the very beginning.
SAI runs the 'Apani Duniya' initiative for children living in and around red-light areas like Kamathipura and Falkland Road. These children grow up in environments marked by violence, disease, and exploitation. Many girls face the very real risk of being pushed into prostitution; many boys risk being pulled into the same world from the other side. SAI steps in to break that cycle.
Children attend school in the mornings and come to the SAI centre in the afternoon — giving them structure, safety, and a space that is entirely their own, away from the chaos of the brothels.
What also stood out was SAI's transparency. The finance team runs a completely cashless system, with every expense documented meticulously on Tally and in physical files. The office itself told its own story — piles of case files stacked everywhere, each one a life that SAI has touched or is still walking alongside."
Your support gives the children education, safety, and a real chance at a future far removed from the world they were born into.
Thank you for making their world a little safer.

Thanks to your regular support of our mission to save young girls from trafficking, survivors across India are rebuilding lives of dignity and hope. Here is one such story of resilience.

One midnight, Neha (name changed) was enticed and kidnapped by someone from her village near Varanasi and swiftly transported to Delhi. Her family's desperate search yielded nothing, and when they managed to reach the accused, they were met with threats against their daughter's life if they went to the police.
With no resources and nowhere to turn, they approached Guria India, one of the NGOs that is part of the mission. The legal team of Guria India immediately ensured an FIR was lodged and persistently moved applications before higher authorities.
Within a month, Neha was rescued. She underwent a medical examination, and with extensive counselling provided to both Neha and her family, they found the strength to depose before the trial court. The accused was convicted and sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of ₹20,000.
Your donations are helping organisations like Guria India to rescue girls and women and provide them with legal support, shelter, care and hope.
Thank you for making this fight possible.

Our colleague Marlin Yesmin recently visited the Missing Link Trust in the Sundarbans,West Bengal, one of the NGOs you support through the mission 'Help save young girls from trafficking'. What she witnessed was truly remarkable. And this is made possible by your regular support!
Here are highlights from her visit:

"I visited Panchuakhali High School where Missing Link runs awareness sessions across 15 schools. What struck me most was the trust these children have built with the trainers.
The team conducts modules on cyber security, personal safety, and recognising trafficking risks—all in Bengali, making comprehension high. Even with frequent power cuts, trainers adapt seamlessly.
Two recent incidents showed real impact: A student reported a classmate's suspected child marriage. The team intervened immediately and prevented it. Another time, when an obscene photo of a student was circulated online, the team worked with cyber authorities to stop it.
The students told me they now discuss safety among themselves and know who to turn to when something feels wrong. Before these sessions, many didn't even know how to identify danger. Now they are confident and aware.
Your support gives vulnerable girls awareness, protection, and a safe space to seek help.
Thank you for keeping them safe!

Thanks to your support of our mission to save young girls from trafficking, survivors across India are rebuilding lives of dignity and hope.
Here are two stories of resilience -

A path to healing
An 18-year-old from an economically challenged family was exploited from age 16 by traffickers who used threats and manipulation. During a Purnata intervention, she was rescued and placed in protective care at Navjeevan Home. Today, she receives emotional support and guidance at Purnata, working toward healing, safety, and renewed dignity.
Justice and recovery
A young girl from Mau district, UP, was trafficked 800 km to Delhi and subjected to horrific violence. When police refused to help, her family turned to Guria India. Within 5 days, she was rescued. Guria's legal team supported her through medical exams, counselling, and trial preparation. Result? Her traffickers received 20 years rigorous imprisonment and ₹65,000 fine. She now receives livelihood support and witness protection.
Your donations provide rescue, legal support, counselling, and hope to survivors with nowhere else to turn.
Thank you for these transformations.

Story from the ground
Atri (name changed), a 20-year-old hardworking girl was lured to Mumbai with a fake job promise of double salary, she was sold into a brothel, tortured and confined for four months without sunlight. After secretly contacting her mother, an NGO and our partner NGO Purnata coordinated her rescue with Mumbai Police; 44 girls, including Atri, were freed and Atri is now safe in a shelter.
